2019-2020 Annual Report
The 2019-2020 annual CSWG report highlights the efforts of the Commission to increase awareness of The Effects of Trauma on the Mental Health of Women and Girls, which was the theme of the Commission year. The CSWG aimed to lead Tallahassee and Leon County to become a more trauma-informed community in their work through the year. This report details three policy recommendations for the City of Tallahassee and Leon County, each of which related to the work of one of the three CSWG Committees.
2018-2019 Annual Report
The 2018-2019 annual CSWG report focuses on the efforts of the Commission to raise awareness about and develop collaborative strategies to address pressing issues involving women and girls in Tallahassee-Leon County, including high rates of poverty or financial insecurity among women, high rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and strategies for reducing the occurrence of sexual assault and power-based violence against women.
2017-2018 Annual Report
The 2017-2018 annual CSWG report focuses on the change of structure of the commission and a refocusing of efforts based on the findings of previous reports. The three committees, Health and Development, STEM and Economic Security, and Violence and Safety all contributed to their areas of focus through research, public hearings, and events. This year’s report shares those stories along with the goals of each committee going forward.
